Get your Anthropic key

Mulkern AI Systems runs on your own Claude key — so your data stays yours and you pay only for what you use. Here's how to set it up. You only do this once.

Create an Anthropic account

Go to the Anthropic Console and sign up with Google or email.

Open the Anthropic Console →

Add a little credit

In the console, open Billing and add a small amount — $5–$20 is plenty to start. You can set a monthly spend limit here too.

Why: Anthropic is pay-as-you-go and prepaid. A full Mulkern AI deliverable typically costs pennies to a couple of dollars, depending on the model you choose.

Create an API key

Go to Settings → API Keys → Create Key, give it a name (e.g. "Mulkern AI"), and copy it. It starts with sk-ant-.

Go to API Keys →

Paste it into Mulkern AI

Back in any Mulkern AI agent, paste the key into the Anthropic API key field and click Save. It's stored only in your browser. That's it — you're ready to generate.

Your key is yours

Mulkern AI never sees or stores your key — it lives in your browser and is sent only to run your own report. You can revoke or rotate it anytime in the Anthropic console. How we handle your data →

Anthropic makes Claude, the AI model that powers Mulkern AI's deliverables. Your key connects Mulkern AI to your Claude account.
Why my own key, instead of paying Mulkern AI for usage?
It keeps your data on your own AI account, removes any markup, and means you pay Anthropic directly for exactly what you generate — usually a few cents to a few dollars per deliverable.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the model. Sonnet is faster and cheaper; Opus is the highest quality. Most single deliverables land between a few cents and a couple of dollars. Set a spend cap in the console if you want a hard ceiling.
Can I revoke the key later?
Yes — delete it anytime in the Anthropic console under Settings → API Keys. Mulkern AI stops working the moment you do.
